The World Operates in a Weird Way

I just don't get it. I thought if I have a schedule to follow, I can actually finish everything in time for my exams. Instead, I am even further behind.

So, after a long consideration, I finally decided to...

NOT PLAN ANYTHING!! Hehe!

And I think it is working, cause I actually done more than I did the last two days.

I am still way behind though.

Anyway, I was able to squeeze a dinner with Angela and Andrew today between my "oh-so-busy" schedule. We went to this restaurant called Panera Bread.

This is the first time Andrew and I ever been to Panera Bread. Naturally, we did not know what to order. So, we turned to Angela.

Andrew: What is good here?
Angela: Salad.
swt. Andrew and I looked at each other and made a face.
Andrew and I: Yerr!

Lolx! In the end, I had to ask them to choose anything but salad for me since I couldn't decide. Haha!!

This was my dinner. Hot Chocolate and Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich was SO good! Thank god they didn't choose something weird for me. =P

Then they just chat the whole time, while I took random pictures..

For some reason, Andrew's cup of water is PINK! So weird~!!

We didn't do much. Just kinda sat there and chat (well, mostly them talking and me listening). I really enjoy hanging out with both of them though. I hope we could go eat dinner again some other time. ^^

Anyway, I should really be getting some shut eyes right about now. I need all the sleep I can get if I want to make it to class tomorrow in time. Nitex!

Interesting piece of plastic thing..

So, we were learning about our heart today in Human Systems. And let me tell you, it is so not fun. All the left ventricles and right arteries thing and the right antrioventricular valves and left pulmanary semilunar valve and the list goes on.

So confunsing!

The only interesting part of the class today was the lab activity. They put this interesting piece of plastic thing right in front of me, and I just had to take a picture with it.

Isn't that fascinating?! That is a plastic model of a heart by the way.

And of course, as usual, I had to take a picture with it.

Besides observing this fascinating piece of art, we got to measure our blood pressure too. I thought it would be fun but...

I have to say that the mission was totally UNsuccessful. We didn't hear a single heart beat and did not know what the hell we were doing. So in the end, we just kinda made some numbers up. ^^

Oh! Btw, I was just informed about something today! It was so suprising and damn hilarious. My roommates crack me up sometimes! Can't really say what it is. Just thought I mention it here cause it is really funny! I still laugh about it every time I think about it.

Anyway, nothing interesting is going to happen this week except for classes of course. Exams right after spring break, so I got to work extra hard! Wish me luck!!

I don't know what's wrong...

I seriously don't know what's wrong. Everything don't seem right these days. What should I do?

Should I try to make things better?

or

Should I just accept them?

...maybe I am just not working as hard as I thought I was...maybe I shouldn't have been so relaxed...

I seldom look at the other side but with all these little things pilling up on me, I just can't help it..

I think I'll take this as a lesson and learn from it. Maybe even work harder. I just don't know...

Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day people!~

Happy Chinese New Year Everyone!

I had a hectic week.

Monday: Freaking LONG homework assignment due.
Tuesday: Study for Stats exam, Intro to Anthropology & Human Systems lab practicle.
Wednesday: Statistics exam & Human Systems Lab Practicle, study Intro to Anthropology.
Thursday: Intro to Anthropology exam.

This is my schedule for tomorrow till next week

Friday: Finish Intro to Literature reading Questions & reading assignments.
Saturday & Sunday: Study for Human Systems & Intro to Anthropology, finish reading assignments.
Monday: Human Systems exam.

And it goes on and on and on and on....

What a way to spend Chinese New Year...

Anyway, at first I thought I won't be celebrating CNY cause I'm in Florida, but I got to relax a bit from my hectic week and celebrate Chinese New Year in my Chinese class yesterday. From 5 - 7:45 pm (every wednesday our chinese class is this long), all we did was eat and have a great time.

Hehe! We got to learn how to make dumplings from stratch and actually cook them in class.

We started off like this..just sitting around..

Then like this...Lolx!!

Then *poof*.. we have homemade dumplings!

And this was how cao lao shi was cooking them...

And moments later...we got to enjoy delicious dumplings ^^ (I'm serious. They were delicious! Ignoring the fact that it took us around an hour plus to get them cooking and were STARVING by the time they were ready =P)

Later, we took our class picture ^^

My professors. The one in red is Cao Lao Shi, the guy is Ni Lao Shi (who speak freaking perfect chinese!!! Even better than I do!) and the woman in white is Ni Lao Shi's wife.

My class. This is like kindergarden all over again. Class pictures. Haha!!

It was just like how we took class picture in USJ 13. We got to take 3 shots. One is the very serious one (first pic). The other is very lively one (second pic). ^^

Then we just sorta goof off..

Haha! The kid in blue is Ni Lao Shi's son, Yang Yang. I was trying to get a picture with Casey cause we are both born in the year of Dragon, and Yang Yang just stood there with the so called dragon post.

Lolx!! This was the result I got after I said that they look too stiff and that they should lossen up a bit. Haha!

Got my first USD ang pau this year! Hehe!

And just in case no one knows what I was holding, it is actually a napkin..a VERY decorative napkin. It is so pretty that I didn't want to use it. I'm keeping it in my drawer now instead. Hehe!

I know I look fat and old in my pictures, but since it is chinese new year, I decided to eat first then lose weight later. I'm taking dancing classes again, so the weight should come right off by the time I go back Malaysia. Hehe!

But I should worry more bout my exams instead of my weight. Next monday is my last exam and then I'll be free for several weeks before the torture starts all over.

Anyway, Happy Chinese New Year to all! May your year be filled with happiness and wealth and health and yada yada. ^^
